Curriculum and Instruction Component Committee – OISE/UT (2010-present)

  • organize and plan workshops for instructors within the Initial Teacher Education program
  • development of resources for instructors
  • planned and designed of aboriginal/technology perspectives specific workshop
  • coordinated technology-integration for secondary curriculum instructors

Educoder CCSIP Grant Workshops – California (2009)/Toronto (2010)

  • coordinate the two workshops, attended and participated in all meetings
  • prepared the expense reports after each workshop
  • coordinated e-mail correspondence with participants, facilitation of hotel accommodations in Toronto and Berkeley
  • negotiation of catering contracts, set up meeting spaces, and coordination with other volunteers (e g , student helpers)

TELS Retreat -­ Berkeley, California, Workshop Presentation -­ Logging On-­line Opportunities for Science Projects (June 2009, Aug 2009, June 2010).

  • Preparation for workshop activities and agenda for elementary science teachers (grade 7-8).
  • Coordinated the LOOPS agenda focusing on teacher activities, building curriculum for force and motion and chemical reactions for grade 8 science programs.
  • Support in understanding of LOOPS activities and application of technology to help teachers assess and build instructional program.
